This policy covers the What-IF website and What-IF uploader, a private tool used by the owner of the What-IF YouTube channel.
What the tool does
What-IF uploader connects to one Google account, the account that owns the What-IF channel, and only with that owner's permission. It uses YouTube API Services to:
- upload videos, titles, descriptions and thumbnails to the What-IF channel;
- read basic information about that channel and its videos;
- read that channel's own YouTube Analytics reports, such as views and audience retention.
What data it accesses and stores
The tool accesses only the What-IF channel's own data listed above. It does not access, collect or store data about viewers or any other YouTube users.
The Google authorization token is stored only on the channel owner's own computer. Channel statistics are used only to improve future videos. Nothing is sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising.
YouTube and Google
This tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access
Access can be removed at any time from the Google account's security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is removed, the stored token is deleted from the owner's computer.
